The workshop teaches participants how orcharhino can be used to automatically manage a data center.

  • Overview of the functions of orcharhino
  • Creation of standardized host groups
  • Host deployment
  • Lifecycle management
  • Patch management
  • Configuration management (Puppet, Ansible, Saltstack)
  • Configuration of orcharhino
  • Additional plugins (e.g., Remote Execution, Snapshot Tool)
  • Command Line Interface (Hammer CLI)


This course is designed for students who have little or no experience with orcharhino. The workshop starts with the initial installation. The participants then become familiar with the core functionalities of deployment, patch and lifecycle management as well as configuration management. Finally, the participants will gain insight into the various setting options and functions of orcharhino that make life easier for the admin.


At the end of this course, students will be able to apply basic system configurations with best practices for orcharhino to implement.

Unless otherwise stated, the workshop will take place at the premises of ATIX AG, Parkring 15, 85748 Garching near Munich. Please note that our training courses are designed for a minimum of four to a maximum of eight participants. If there are fewer than four registered participants, we reserve the right to cancel the workshop up to two weeks before the start.
